Welcome to Legacy Charities of Maine
Legacy Charities of Maine is a donor advisor fund, non-profit charity that is part of Legacy Global Foundation.
It was started by Paul and Lisa Dyer in 2008 and strives to do something beyond serving other local charities.
Lisa had successfully helped launch a chapter of the Bangor Mom's Club and that organization grew to a great
success. Paul had served on several charitable boards including the Penobscot Indian Nation Boys and Girls
Club and one of the many the Bangor Christian Schools Aux.
Boards and helped those organizations obtain success in building endowment funds, raising monies, and
expanding their programs. Paul & Lisa both felt that they could do more especially in the area of the
helping transplant patients and transplant families with expenses that are not covered by insurance, an
area that is dear to the Dyers' hearts. Also, in children's educational funding for children with special
needs like Autism and other challenging child development areas that are often underfunded or misunderstood.

They started Legacy Charities with a fundraiser road race called "The Run from Hill" in the hilly West
Glenburn area in early spring each year. They then went on to raising money with the “Legacy Charities Tea”
a very popular mother-daughter or grandmother-granddaughter formal tea which Lisa says is somewhat of a
"dying art" in Maine. They are expanding their money raising activities to many more annual events and
building a solid foundation of supporters. Your support is certainly welcome.
Please check our calendar for up-and-coming events. Run in "The Run from Hill" each spring and come
to our Legacy Tea and look for other charitable events to help us raise money for worthy causes in Maine.
